3 Ways to Stop Comparing Yourself to Other People

In the age of social media, it’s incredibly easy to let ourselves get caught up in the comparison game. “I wish I could have a thigh gap like hers.” “Why can’t my kids behave as perfectly as theirs?” “I wish I could get abs as easy as that guy.” “Of course she’s happy, she has an infinite amount of money to buy whatever she could possibly want.” We’re lying to ourselves every day, thinking that if we had everything we wanted, we’d finally be happy. Satisfied. Content. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. Of course, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t ever catch myself doing this.…

6 Thrifted Halloween Costumes Probably at Your Goodwill Right Now

We’ve all been there. Halloween is approaching fast and you still haven’t even thought about a costume. Or maybe you have for like, a second… but you can’t think of anything that sounds good so you give up. ALSO who the heck wants to spend $30+ on something you’re going to wear literally one time??? Not me! So I had an idea… I started doing a little brainstorming and Googling and came up with some costumes I thought I could find at Goodwill! And you know what? I FOUND THEM. They aren’t all perfect, but I can almost guarantee you can find some version of each costume at the Goodwill in your…

Know Before You Go: Guadalupe Peak and Carlsbad Caverns

This past weekend, three friends and I took a road trip to West Texas. While we had originally planned to visit the caverns on Friday, we got there too late and decided to go on Sunday instead! We trucked on to Guadalupe Mountains National Park, where we hoped to find an open campsite for the night. But alas, we were out of luck once again. Fortunately for us, a nice park ranger suggested a spot of public land just across the New Mexico border, where we ended up staying for the night. We got up around 6:30 on Saturday morning, packed up, and traveled back south to the Guadalupe Peak…

    Weekend Camping/Hiking Packing List

I am getting SUPER excited because this time tomorrow, I’ll be in New Mexico!! Or maybe in Texas. I’m not completely sure of the timeline. We leave at 6 a.m. tomorrow for Carlsbad, NM to visit the Carlsbad Caverns! After we’ve had our fill there, we’re headed to Guadalupe Mountains National Park for the rest of the weekend. Hiking, camping, and hopefully some gorgeous fall foliage are all in our plans. 🙂 Since I’m sure I’m not the only one wanting to take a trip like this during the most wonderful season of the year, I thought I would let everyone in on what I’m bringing! I know I can’t…

    Fall Booties for Under $30

Here lately I’ve been seeing posts for “fall booties under $100” or even “under $50!” But $50 is not a good enough deal for me!! Bootie styles change every fall, so if I’m going to be buying new ones, I’m sure as heck not spending a ton of money on something I might not be wearing next year. This may not be your philosophy, but if it is, I’ve rounded up plenty of ADORABLE more affordable pairs for you and me both! *bootie bootie bootie bootie rockin’ everywhere* AM I RIGHT? ALSO don’t forget, if you’re tight on money at the moment and can’t afford your favorites right now, you…
