    Weekend Camping/Hiking Packing List

I am getting SUPER excited because this time tomorrow, I’ll be in New Mexico!! Or maybe in Texas. I’m not completely sure of the timeline. We leave at 6 a.m. tomorrow for Carlsbad, NM to visit the Carlsbad Caverns! After we’ve had our fill there, we’re headed to Guadalupe Mountains National Park for the rest of the weekend. Hiking, camping, and hopefully some gorgeous fall foliage are all in our plans. 🙂 Since I’m sure I’m not the only one wanting to take a trip like this during the most wonderful season of the year, I thought I would let everyone in on what I’m bringing! I know I can’t…

    Waco Weekend Travel Guide

In my opinion, Waco’s gotta be in the absolute best location. Halfway between Dallas and Austin – only an hour and a half drive either way?? It doesn’t get better than that! And while most people just think of Chip and Joanna when they hear Waco, I’m here to tell you there are SO MANY more activities other than Magnolia Market!! Keep reading if you wanna think outside the box during your visit to Wacotown. 😉 See a movie at the Hippodrome It started out as a vaudeville theater in 1914, and it evolves as time goes on! Free NYC Activities Checklist

Visiting NYC but don’t have a lot to spend? No problem! While it may be one of the most expensive cities in the world, it also has an endless supply of free things to do. This list should keep you busy for at least a whole weekend, if not longer! 9/11 Memorial I cannot recommend this enough. Take a look around, soak it in. Remember. The part outside is free, but I would also STRONGLY encourage you to spend the $24 and go to the museum. My friends and I spent several hours there without even realizing it. If you have the time, seriously, go. MoMA on Friday If you’re…

    NYC Summer Packing Guide

Helloooooooo from my little home for the month in NYC!! I’ve been here for less than 24 hours and can already tell I’m going to love it. For those of you who don’t know, I’m currently trying to decide where I’ll be moving to next. When my friend called me up a few weeks ago and asked if I wanted to sublet her apartment in Queens for the entire month of July, I said HECK YEAH I DO! Because what’s life without a little spontaneity? So here I am, settled into her apartment and *almost* ready to explore the city. It feels like a furnace outside today and it’s supposed…

    My Favorite Healthy Travel Snacks

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about all my road trip essentials. Some of those essentials are healthy snacks to munch on! However, I didn’t want to limit it to just road trip snacks. So here’s a list of my favorite air-friendly (and car-friendly) healthy snacks! Lara Bars When I was on Whole30, these saved by butt on more than one occasion. I love them because they don’t have any added sweeteners – just dates! Also, NO idea how they make them taste so deliciously accurate with so few ingredients. The pecan pie bar has THREE THINGS: dates, pecans, and almonds. And it tastes just like pecan pie!! I…
