Easiest Winter Outfit + Blogmas Update

Man, you guys. This whole blogging every day thing is maybe starting to get just a teeny tiny bit overwhelming! But hey, I started it and by golly, I’m gonna finish what I started. It really is fun! I just have sooooo much to do right now (leaving for Hawaii in 4 days!!) and I feel so dumb for being like, “Okay here’s my entire list of things I need to get done… now instead of doing like seven of them, I have to write a blog post and shoot pictures for it and also edit those pictures and get links for all my clothes and/or products and make an Instagram post and share it on my other social media platforms and also create a pin and pin it to all my group boards, etc. and OH LOOK IT’S 2 AM.”

You could say I’m a tad stressed. Lol. I actually had a completely different post in mind for today, but it’s my grandma’s 99th birthday! So instead, my family and I all went to her house and celebrated. Which was totally worth moving my Blogmas calendar around a little bit. On the way home, we stopped at the mall to get my sister some shoes (she’s gone full mom mode and has only worn tennis shoes and house shoes since having her baby three weeks ago). It was already well past dark, so outside pictures obviously weren’t happening. Then we realized:

the tree.

The mall tree (behind which children were literally in the middle of taking pictures with Santa) was the perfect backdrop for my pictures! I may be feeling a little overwhelmed right now, but Christmas decorations always put me in a better mood. After we shot these pics, I felt so much lighter and happier!

Full disclosure: Everything but my leggings is either old or I can’t find a link for it, BUT I’m linking super similar items at the end of the post! Seriously. I’ve had this jacket for like, 6+ years and I’m still not even a little bit tired of it. If you’re looking for some budget-friendly coats though, check out my post alllll about outerwear for under $100!

Shoe Storytime:

I have been dying for a pair of Adidas superstars with the white stripes specifically. I know, I’m a freak, but if I’m gonna spend a bunch of money on shoes, I want those shoes to go with everything. Plus I just like how clean the all white ones look! However, I’ve had this Hawaii trip planned for a few months and knew it would be dumb of me to drop $80 on shoes while trying to save for my vacation! Sacrifices, people.

Rewind to a few weeks ago while I was in Waco and trying to remind myself not to spend money unnecessarily. I was in Marshalls, just looking (my sister was the one doing the actual shopping) when I stumbled upon these beauties. They bore a striking resemblance to some $300 Rag & Bone ones (those are the men’s – the women’s aren’t online anymore) that I’d seen a while back! Like WHAAAAAT? So I scooped them up and DOUBLE WHAAAAAT? They were on clearance for $14!! AND they’re Dr. Scholl’s Original Collection, which I looked up and couldn’t find the exact pair, but found similar ones for $100!! I lucked out, you guys. These puppies are COMFY AS HECK.

The brand name doesn’t matter. It makes no difference if you paid $400 or $4. As long as you like it and it makes you happy, you are GOLDEN. Don’t let anybody tell you otherwise.

Candidly,

Kristianna
