Mama’s Famous Chicken Casserole Recipe
Does your mom have that one special recipe that she’s made forever? You know, the one she makes for all the holidays and family gatherings? For me, that’s this casserole. I’m telling you, I’ve made it for so many friends and never once had anybody not LOVE it! In fact, I have a few friends who request it every time they come to visit! Haha! So without further ado, let’s make some comfort food!!
Ingredients:
1 Can of Cream of Chicken Soup
1 Stick (1/2 cup) of Butter
2 Sleeves of Ritz Crackers
2 Cans of Chicken Breast
1 16 oz Container of Sour Cream
Preheat your oven to 350°.
Take the soup and sour cream and dump them into a medium-sized casserole dish.
Then open and drain the cans of chicken and shred them. I guess there’s some fancier way to do it, but I just use my clean hands and kind of mush it between my fingers!
Mix the chicken in with the soup and sour cream.
Melt the entire stick of butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
Crush both sleeves of crackers into tiny pieces. I find it easiest to put my palms on each end and squeeze until the bag pops!
Dump the crackers into the bowl with the butter and mix it all together until the crackers are evenly coated.
Spoon the crackers over the casserole dish filled with the sour cream + soup + chicken mixture. Spread it evenly out!
Bake it for 20 minutes or until the crackers are a nice golden brown and you’re good to go!
DIG IN!! 😀
Candidly,
Kristianna
